New to the forum. Just got a 2002 KX 220. Love it. I also have a 98KX 250 and a 2003 Suzuki quad sport Z 400. Previously owned 1981 KX 80, 2000 KX 250, 2004 KX 500. I’m in need of the lower headlight bracket. P/N 11048-1089. I’ve searched throughout this forum with no lock and the same on the Internet and eBay. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Hello and welcome, hopefully someone has one kicking around or this might be a option, beat to hell headlight cover and some extra parts, low ball a offer..

Wouldn't be too hard to make one up out of some thin flat bar, 1 piece across for the headlight cover with a 90 deg bend at each end and a couple 90 deg L brackets with a twist from that bar to the triples, weld, bolt or rivet together.

At some point a year ago or so, someone on one of the KDX Facebook groups had a batch of these reproduced. I wish I could tell you the name but I can't. You could try searching that part number of it further using the forums search tab on Google search results page.

Edit - Phil Johnson, he had five left almost a year ago, probably sold out now though....

I believe that post is not showing because it's a private group and you must be a member to see it.

If you’re tired of dealing with heavy, easy to twist steel brackets and lost screws I suggest using the modern solution - Acerbis black rubber straps. They’re generally easy to find, inexpensive and durable. Bonus if you smack a tree they allow the mask to move enough so that it doesn’t break every time. All the modern headlight wearing dirt bikes use these nowadays.

Thanks for the tips!

I had what I believe were some UFO straps, but they deteriorated. Then my second KDX came with what I later learned were 97-07 KLX 300 headlights straps, which I like quite a lot, however they are no longer available new last I checked, or at least they were terribly expensive when I did find them at maybe $25 a piece. Eventually I found a used set of four, for a fair price.

Acerbis headlight straps sound like a great option!

I think you can find some generic version on eBay and Amazon, pretty cheap, but similar quality to the name brand best I can tell.
