After market oversize tank

Has anyone tried putting the OEM radiator shrouds on an IMS tank? I have a 2003 KDX200. Reason for asking is I can get a good deal on a tank. Do not like the shrouds that come with the IMS tank. Clarke tank may be the only option. Thanks for any replies.]

No, they aren't even close to fitting.
I suppose you could cut up the OEM shrouds significantly and make them fit, but they would look fairly butchered without having the rolled reinforced factory molded edges.
IMS does sell the shrouds separately, by the way.
Edit - sorry I hurriedly read that on my morning break and I see that you just didn't like the look of the IMS shrouds, which is a fair assessment. I think with some custom graphics on them, they could look quite good or at least the graphics would draw attention to themselves and away from the shroud shape, but I'm with you on not liking the shape of those shrouds. I also found that those same shrouds are used on the KX 125 and 250 tanks, as I found a single purple shroud that looked identical to mine which is the same as the picture I posted below from someone else.
The oversized Clarke tanks (but not their standard size versions) have damage to their molds, so they all have a slight blemish on the top left side I believe, so you're still paying new prices for basically what's a scratch and dent aesthetic, but they function perfectly fine and the bikes are workhorses, they will get beat up in time, function over fashion always for me.

This is another forum member's IMS oversized tank, I picked up one of these in the rare NLA purple as well. The shrouds are entirely different in their mounting. Just buy the replacement IMS offerings if the tank is truly a good deal.
Make certain know that none of the brass threaded inserts are pulling out of the tank, this is common when people over torque them, these fasteners are not meant to be torqued much at all.
If damaged, you can manage to get them out and then heat them up and heat up the plastic and melt them back in place, but it's tedious and risky.

Thanks for the info. I think I will stick with the Clarke Tank.

I like the "clear" Clarke tank because it is easy to see fuel level. Per comment by Chuck above, I put a dab of Yamabond on the shroud bolts to retain them.
