Hi Guys, just wanted to introduce myself. I am from metro Detroit and enjoy riding all the great trail systems in Northern Michigan. I have an 87 KDX200 that I am working on restoring right now. First picture is as I bought it and second picture is where I am currently at on it. It looks quite good in the pictures, but it is basically pieced together/not running and all of the wearable parts are roached.
I've got the frame powder coated, and all aluminum pieces vapor blasted. Got the forks / triple clamps together and am currently working on rear shock and rear disk brake conversion.
I hope to learn a lot from you guys and maybe contribute some knowledge of my own.... Needless to say, I'll be hanging out on the air cooled site quite a bit! lol

Joe87KDX,
Panic In Detroit! You've got a good project going. Curious to know if you're a displaced Yupper because you shared you ride in northern MI.
Not only will you find a mother lode of KDX info in this forum, you'll also find forum members are a friendly bunch.
Looking forward to seeing your project achieve operational status.
