Back to the forum after 13 years!

Hi guys,

I posted a few days ago but my post disappeared - I understand it was a tech issue and not something I did wrong hopefully?

Anyways I also had to create a new profile. My name is Felipe, I am originally from Chile but now living in the UK. My first dirt bike was a KDX 200 SR that I got back in 2010 when I was 15 yo. I sold it after a few years as I was doing mostly motocross so I got a YZ250. Now the 13-year-wise me just picked up a 1989 KDX 200 SR that I am planning to restore and keep for as long as possible! This forum helped me a lot back then so I am very glad to see it is still active.

The new bike is pretty much complete, but it seems like it spent some time in a barn or something as some parts are quite rusty. Engine is running fine so my idea is to do a soft restoration this summer to get it road legal and then a more fulsome restoration next winter. I'll keep you posted!

Best,
Felipe

Hola de nuevo, Felipe!
How do you make your living in the UK? Do you miss Chile? I would love to make a long holiday in Chile.

Welcome back!

The site had an issue and a prveious version had to be used to restore. A few days went missing.

Congratulations on getting another KDX! It looks like a good one.

Hi Billie - sorry for the very late response!

I work in the financial sector in London. I do miss Chile and try to go at least once a year, but after almost 4 years here I'm getting used to the English life now!

Chile is a great destination for holidays, but yes you need at least 2-3 weeks to fully enjoy the country. North and South are 2 very different trips.

Best,
Felipe
