I made Santa's List this year so he dropped off a 2023 Beta 200.
E-start, oil injection, and she came with a plate and all the trimmings for street use.
Been busy buying armor and all the "necessary" goodies...
I will let you know how this compares to me faithful KDX.

No problem
Don't you remember?
Cheech said Santa just used some magic dust to make himself(and by default all his gifts) really small so he could fit down the chimney!

And I am dating myself. I bet there are some folks here that never heard of Cheech and Chong.

George Carlin's genius social/political commentary is still incredibly relevant today... He's a true legend.

A Beta 200RR Race Edition is perhaps about the only new bike of today that I'd really seek out...

A 95+ octane headed woods ported 134cc big bore YZ125X with a Lectron Billetron Pro Series carb and other mods would be the other, although with the highly prolific hard enduro rider Cody Webb leaving Sherco to head the new Yamaha enduro team aboard a modded YZ250X, that bike model sounds more and more enticing with all the Yamaha factory GYTR performance upgrades...and still being a great chassis geometry unlike a lot of other modern 250/300 2-strokes & most 250F/450F models.

But STILL, a heavily modified upgraded KDX220R or a KDX220/KX125 hybrid sure sounds appealing still even with the Beta & Yamaha choices.

300 2-strokes are amazing, but very seldom do they get used to their full potential (it's even tough to use a modeed KDX220 to it's fullest potential). The flickability and handling of the 220/200, KX125 hybrids, Beta 200RR Race Edition, & the very well proven YZ125X/YZ250X models excels over virtually all 300's in the handling department in the woods.
The short wheelbase of the KDX's & '96 & earlier KX125 is a huge advantage in many areas, while requiring a lot of extra special attention crawling up the steep technical hill climbs as to not loop it out on the throttle... that's why the slightly longer '97-'98/'99-'02/'03 KX125 swingarm is the one... A slight bit longer but still very crisp handling, unlike a Beta 300 or Austrian 300...which feel like attempting whipping a limousine around in the tight woods trails...

Glad to see you've got another fine machine in your fleet!
