Howdy! -A Texas scrub with a not too crusty 87.

Hey guys what's happenin! Glad to be here in the consortium of KDX!

I just bought my first 2 cycle bike, an 87 KDX 200. It's me new baby, and i will cherish it as such.
While I'm very familiar with 2 cycle sleds and marine, I have absolutely no practical experience with 2t bikes. Super evident from the fact I ran it out of fuel TWICE yesterday on my first ride. (ran on reserve) Lean runaway scared the piss out of me, but had it shutdown after a second or 2. (Dropped clutch)

So, yeah!
I do all my own wrenchin, so I hope you'll welcome me with my stupidly specific autistic reasoning (at times) and sometimes borderline asinine questions!

Welcome to kdxrider. Congratulations on your KDX! Feel free to ask away. We have an air-cooled section for any non-general questions. The general Q&A section is a good place to ask for help on general repairs. Use the search function, as some questions you have may have already been asked and answered. You won't have to wait around on an answer. The site has been around for about 20 years, so there is a lot of knowledge here.

Again, welcome!
