92 KDX200 Lights wiring

Good evening! I just bought a 92 KDX200 that needs a bit of work, but overall runs great thankfully! I was wondering about the wiring for the lights, as the diagrams I was finding online weren't the same as my setup.
So the bike has both the tail light and the headlight, but neither are connected, and the headlight has 4 wires from the bike, and the aftermarket headlight the previous owner out on that is kind of generic has 4 as well, but the diagrams I was finding only have 2 wires shown, a red wire and a black wire for ground. My bike has 2 red wires, 1 black and 1 yellow, and the aftermarket headlight had 4 that are different colors than what is on the bike. I figure green is ground, but can someone tell me what the yellow wire is for on the bike, and I assume maybe the 2 red ones are for high and low (even though my bike has no switch for it lights whatsoever.
Also, if you guys know, do these bikes typically have a light switch on them, or are they just running all the time?
Anyways, for the rear, the bike has 2 black with yellow stripes joined together and a red and brown wire joined together for the wires on the bike, and the light itself has a white with greeb stripe (presumably ground) a brown and a white wire.
I'll show some pictures of both here.
Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

Well, for the headlights it seems yellow is the the one that works, the two reds don't seem to be doing anything. Though the tail light is still weird, can't seem to figure out the wiring there

For the headlight, likely the aftermarket unit has 4 wires for Hi/Lo Beam, the OEM had just 2 wires. As for the first picture reference the diagram below. One of the red wires goes to the headlight switch (which you said is missing, the p/n is 27010-1279) that is normally mounted on the right handlebar near the brake reservoir. The other red wire goes to the headlight (red is switched 12V). The yellow wire goes to the other side of the headlight switch and is always hot when the bike is running. One of the black wires is frame ground for the headlight and the other is frame ground for the kill switch. I assume the 4 wires (blue, green, white and tan) are coming from the aftermarket headlight.

Yes, there should be a light switch, the OEM p/n is 27010-1279, but they are kind of pricey. Any aftermarket one will work (like
this one)

For the rear the connector with the red and brown wires together would mate to a red wire going to the taillight, and the Black/Yellow wires together would mate to a black/yellow wire going to the taillight.

Thank you for the info! That helps a ton.
For the tail light, is there supposed to be a switch on one of the brakes so it lights up? Or is it just running all the time? If there is one on the bike I cannot find it.
And for the red wire, the one that is the switched 12v, what is the purpose for it? Sorry, I'm not great when it comes to electrical stuff, is it possible to leave it disconnected? Or by switched 12v do you mean it connects to the other end after connected through the switch for the lights?

It is just a tail light, not a brake light. No switch.

If you follow the diagram, you should find a yellow wire that comes out of the LH side of the motor just below the carb. That yellow wire goes up to the handlebar. The black and white with red stripe wires come out of the same place and go to the CDI unit under the tank.
The yellow wire is supposed to go to the headlight switch and from the other side of that switch it is a red wire that goes to the headlight, taillight, and to the regulator (where it connects with a brown wire. The yellow one is the only one that will be hot when the bike is running. Without that switch you won't have lights.

I see, thanks a ton for the help! I've got a switch coming in the mail.
