Feels like bike hits a rev limiter

Hi,got a question about my kdx125,when going through the gears and hitting the powerband all the way through it seems like it kinda has a rev limiter and it stops pulling,I’m just wondering if this is normal or if the bike is leaning out or what

Check the KIPS power valve system for proper operation besides the normal filter, carb, reeds, etc.

Thanks for the reply,I’m going to go over everything tomorrow I just didn’t know where to start,it only seems to be at wide open throttle in the powerband it starts sounding like it’s hitting a limiter but still feels like it’s got plenty pull left in it

Mine was too fat of jetting.
Rather than leaning out it was getting too much.

My 220 did that when i first bought it. It had the stock main jet and it was too rich. Yours could be more than just that. Is this a new problem on a bike you've owned for a long time? Read up on plug chops and start there.

I’ve only had the bike about 5 months and have done a top end rebuild on it,but it was doing it before the rebuild was done.My bike has standard size jetting with a fresco/big one full system and the air box snorkel removed.

Yeah, I bet you need to get your jetting dialed in.
