Fork ID please

Newb here-I bought a set used forks that the ad stated were supposedly for a 2005 kx250f in hopes to do a future conversion. When I arrived, he stated it was a 2006. For $90 I bought the forks and a (supposedly) kx125 rim with hub and axle/spacers. I was in the middle of a vacation trip so I didn't have the luxury to run numbers while I was there. Upon arriving at my destination, I saw the casting numbers were k312-l2 and k312-r2. I'm thinking that these are actually for a 2002-2003 kx 125 or 250. Anybody with more experience care to comment? I don't have any way to measure as I am on the road. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Not sure on the casting numbers. Can you take a of the overall forks and a pic of the top of them?

Seek and ye shall find.
AKA - Look on eBay for 2002 KX125 / KX250 forks and see what I saw. 2002
Congratulations on it not being 2006, due to the clamps.

I saw the ebay listings but often find sellers misrepresent items. Here are the images of the forks. I am hoping the congrats comments indicates this wasn't a bad buy. Again, thanks for any clarity as I would like to begin the search for triple clamps.

They look like 2002 to me.
2006 KX250F has an aluminum frame, so the clamp's steering stops are designed for an aluminum frame, not a steel frame.

Thanks for the confirmation KDXGarage. Would you happen to know what year/ model triple clamps would work i.e. 2001-2002 kx125 or kx250?

2002 KX125 and KX250 for tighter offset, 2003 - 2007 for slower turning
Can you post a pic of the fork leg where it was mounted? That makes me wonder if it is cracked or aluminum damage.
(last pic, about a foot down)

These pics are all of brake side. The last 2 pics are the same view of the upper and lower portions of the leg in the same orientation as the pic you questioned. I think you may have seen a piece of grass as they have yet to be cleaned as im on vacation. The first pic would be the overall view but 180 degree orientation to the first 2 pics. I hope this makes sense. I thought the finish looked good for the year. A worry I have is investing in the wrong year triple clamps and not having it fit so thank you for the info regarding years.

Looks like corrosion but this may have become a learning experience for me. Your thoughts?

That's some pretty serious corrosion damage. IIWM I'd be a bit leery about running that fork leg.

That is damaged and dangerous in my opinion. Do you have a link to the listing?
