Thanks from south Texas

Thanks for letting me join, I am located in south Texas near the Cycle Ranch in Floresville. Been riding all sorts of bikes since I was a kid but finally bought my first 2 stroke. A 2000 KDX200, and so far it has been awesome. Both of my kids 12 and 10 ride smaller 4 strokes and this allows me to chase them around. Bike is super clean and really fun to ride. I have been reading a lot on here about fuel mixes. I just mixed my first 5 gallons up using ethanol free and Yamalube 2 stroke oil 32:1. But I might be changing that due to all the threads about using different oil. Thanks for the add and I will posting questions.....I’m sure.

"Bike is super clean"
Yeah it is!
Welcome to kdxrider.net.
On the fuel, it sounds OK to me.
Hopefully, you have some decent octane and are storing it in a metal can.

Congrats on the new bike. Looks amazing for a 21 year old bike from TX! All it needs is a skid plate! Good luck with it.

Holey smokes that's a clean bike. Looks straight off the showroom floor. Welcome to the club. I'm jealous!

Man, where are all these nice bikes coming from? I can't get the mud and grime off mine with a jackhammer lol

I bought it from Facebook marketplace on a page called Eric’s Cycle Sales. I bought my kids bikes from a guy on there and when he got this one in he called me. I traded a KX450 for it.

It just depends on how long you are storing it. The VP can is great for short term use.

Great looking 200, and welcome to the forum! I did pretty much the same thing for my additional KDX - found a really clean low-hour 200 on FB Marketplace, and traded my CRF450R for it.

Have to agree about that being a nice KDX. I'm down in CC and drive up to Floresville at least once a month to ride at Zars and eat BBQ from Two Sawers. Is Cycle Ranch open? I know Toyota was going to "Make Up to Mud" there, at least before Covid hit.

I don't have any experience with WA, but in NC the mud is baked on an hour after your ride. Power washers don't do jack!

Yeah, I still have some of that wonderful Florida clay I picked up way back when the bike was new and running it around the Florida panhandle, the stains never come out lol
