For the heck of it , I ordered a china pwk air striker " copy " carb. Overall it doesnt look that bad besides the top cap fits lousy , lousy as in it slides down 3/4 of the threads before the threads catch. It looks like Keihin has made them take their name off the casting as this one has been machined smooth but can faintly still read it . I'll probably send it back

MAN! I think sending it back is a great idea.

They are good as paper weights, or for watering your flowers (they work better as a hose bib than they do as a carb )

Catch and release is the best practice.

I actually had really good fortune with a shot in the dark buy from amazon.

I spent countess hours trying to fix my issues with my stock KDX200 carb. No matter what I did and what parts I replaced it would bog in 1st gear at low RPM and puke gas out of the carb when stopped 50% of the time.

So I ordered this carb:

I installed the new carb and ran it on the stock jets it came with. Ran like crap.

So I took a look at the jetting chart for KDX200's:

Replaced the stock jets with those I bought in the kit from amazon. Also turned the air screw 1.25-1.5 turn out.

BOOM! The front wheel now pulls off the pavement in 1st without dumping the clutch.

Had you run through the jetting guide you likely could have saved yourself time and money. Not a wonder it ran like crap on the jets it came with, the PJ was a 68. The jetting guide you referenced is for running an FMF pipe, so if you're on the stock you still need to run through the jetting guide to get it dialed. Glad it's running better for you, but this is an example of how important having the service manual is.
