New front KX suspension works awesome!!!! Just hast NOST revalve the shock and put on a new spring more suited for my oversized behind. The bike already had an FMF Desert pipe but had the stock silencer. Installed a new FMF Powercore Q and took for a ride around the neighbors dairy.

Smells hot????? Bubbling sounds from radiator ????? Coolant blowing into overflow????

This NEVER EVER EVER happened before - I live in Arizona and have ridden the bike in 30 degree to 115 degree temps and NEVER had any overheating issues.

Didn't think the addition of the silencer required rejetting???? What is going on????

Help please!!!!!

Damn, never heard of a KDX overheating. That's weird stuff. Change your cap, pressure test the system, do a plug chop to make sure you're not running lean. check your water pump and seals.

If the only place she's blowing coolant is out the radiator overflow tube, then I suspect a bad radiator cap.

I use a stick on thermometer on my cylinder, the kind that changes color like a mood ring. My bike runs about 195 to 200 F. Check yours for comparision. You may have some air trapped. Burp the air out of the coolant.

I run water Wetter in mine. Like Ski said, CHECK FOR AIR TRAPPED IN SYSTEM. Use the bleeder bolt at the top of the head, 8mm open/closed end wrench will do & Leave the cap off while bleeding.., start your bike with the cap on, then remove, you will see bubbles come to the top. Now top off to BOTTOM of Neck, restart. If you DO NOT see the coolant being moved around in the rads, then check your Water Pump Impeller.

LOOK SMART, THEN HARD.
Most problems are simple in nature and thats why they are over looked

Ski, where did you get the thermometer, an auto parts store? That's good idea.

I found them on eBay. I'll see if I can post up one of the auctions. Just be sure to not get the single use type.
