Hello from the Oregon coast!

I'm happy to see such a following for such a great bike. I was looking for a good trail bike and stumbled on a 02 kdx 220 on Craigslist that had spent most of it's life in a barn so lucky for me after removing a mouse nest from the air box and stripping it down I found no problems with it at all.
I cleaned it up, put it all back together and it started first kick. Today was our first ride and it was great. The bike did amazing and was so much easier to control than my CRF 250r on the tight trails. I'm hooked on my kdx.
I found this forum while looking for upgrades recommend for my bike and figured I'd join in case any questions pop up I need a quick answer to. Also might be a good way to meet some fellow kdxers or whatever we call ourselves... Someone can fill me in on the lingo.

Welcome! They are terrific bikes. Ok, I'll go first.... Anybody told you about the 220 stock piston yet?

Welcome to the fold. You're really going to enjoy that 220. Recently picked up an 04 220 myself and at 65, it's just what I needed. BTW - where abouts on the coast are you? I went through Oregon in 1974 and did some surfing around Coos Bay and LIncoln. Beautiful coast with coutless light houses.
