So I took my reed block out to inspect and as you can see in the pictures one side of the block has started to melt, what could cause this, bad reed petals, ive checked the petal and they are flush against the block so that check out but I'm not sure how else to tell if they are bad,
Also could this be contributing to bad performance

Almost looks like the adhesive holding the block together has softened a bit. If the reeds are seating properly and there are no air leaks in the assembly it likely isn't an issue, though certianly would warrant keeping an eye on. IF the reeds are properly seating and there are no leaks then it likely isn't the source of performance issues. Has anything else changed recently?

I don't see it as being an issue.

Odd though!

Indeed, the more I look the more I find atleast at the end the bike will be like new and I'll know enough to not ask for help all the Time šŸ˜‰

Ask! We ALL need help and have leaned in the KDX community here in the past. I’m sure I will in the future as well.

Ask away. I'm too lazy to work on my own, but I can help someone else without lifting a wrench or squatting down (or gettin' greasy). :boogie:
