Hey guys I have a 84 200 i was looking at the speedo pick up looks like some one took it apart at one time and cleaned it up and it's not working I got continuity in the wires from top connectors to each of the 2 pick up pieces that stick up under the rotor but I'm not sure how it works theres 2 wire pieces that stick up one was bent over touching the side i bent it back down and the other one is in line with the rotor magnet I'm not sure how they go any help would be appreciated

Do you have the electronic tripmeter / timer unti too?

It looks like all the bottom pieces are there.

Yea I've got the timer / trip meter it's in good shape the only way I can get the trip meter to change numbers is to short across the the to leads and it goes to 1 and so on

Is the dark piece inside the white plastic piece supposed to contact the the two wire ends to make a completed circuit??
