Getting the dirt off.

With our KDX's getting older every year, the finishes on the metal have worn away and getting the dirt off seems to be harder than a newer bike. Are there products you've used to help protect everything once you have a clean bike that make cleanup easier?

After my bike is clean, Maxima SC-1 is used on the plastic. It helps to keep mud and dirt from sticking in the first place.
I think that washing the bike after riding and not letting it stay stuck on for days or weeks helps a lot.

Pam cooking spray. Still under $3 per can and keeps things from adhering.

I've been using SC-1 and like it but Pledge furniture spray does the same thing. Cover the brake rotors with a shop towel if you're spraying anywhere near them.

When ordering from Rocky Mountain, I usually needed $5 - $15 more to get free shipping. Oil and chemicals seem to fill that gap too well.
I still have a half can of Pledge somewhere, too. SC-1 has an oddly nice scent. Maxima even sold car air fresheners with that smell, kind of like the little tree you put in a car.
