Interchangeable 99 kdx200 with 04 kdx220

Hey all,
I have a 99 kdx 200 that rums great but everything else is beat to hell. I found a 04 kdx 220 that has a blown motor but everything else is in great shape. Would i be able to just swap motors and go or is there different mounts and such. Thanks for any info.

The kdx's are identical bikes except for the cylinder and carburetor.
I see that you posted in the SR series forum.
Not sure what an SR series has different between year models.
I say go for it.

A USA KDX220R came with a different carb to better suit the tuning of the engine. It is a little smaller than the KDX200 carb. You can swap the engine over, but you need to change the jetting inside the KDX200 carb to suit the KDX220R engine.
Besides the engine top end, stickers and the o-ring chain and wider chain guide, they are the same bike.
A portion of the power valve system is different on the KDX220R (plus cylinder, head, piston, rings).
