Ive been looking to find a pair of forks with the right spring rate but im actaully really not sure which to get. The 96 kx250 forks have .393 springs in them. Racetech reccomends .401 with a 144 opound person. I am only 135 but then you add on the extra kdx weight.

The 97 kx125 forks i am looking at have a spring rate of .380. They say for a 144pound person the reccomend rate would be .391. So i am a bit above what they say. Also i only took into accound 9 of the 28 pounds of the extra kdx weight.

I can get the kx250 forks, a triple tree, the axel and the front wheel for $350 plus shipping. He does not know what the forks are sprung at. Neither does the guy with the 125 forks. Also the 96 forks dont have a bladder. Which means they would be more woods freinly. Which do you all think i should get.

I think i can get the 125 stuff for a bit less but if i would be springs for these then they would be more again. I think i can get the forks, the tt, the front wheel and the axel for about $275 plus shipping but these forks need new seals. He is giving me seals and i can change them myself but i would need to add $15 for more oil because i already have a quart.

Go with the 125 forks, the spring rate will be much much closer to your requirements.
