Re my recent post that the moderator locked before I could reply, I was asking for directions to where I could obtain some relevant documentation with the intention of purchasing either PDF or hard copy, if this completely innocent request was a breach of rules and regulations I was unaware

E-Bay has owners manuals. I like the hard copies, get a used one for cheap.

I have a hard copy and a e-scription....I really like the e-scription, but you need a computer of some sort in your shop to make really good and functional use of it.

(Your post from the other thread)
"Hi all been awhile, time to start work on the barn find, is there somewhere we're a PDF manual can be found for the 84 KDX 250 last of the air cooled, have had some experience with the 125 KX of that year, any input or advice would be greatly appreciated, will post some pics asap. Cheers jstcraig

My response from the other thread
"Hi. This site does not want to get involved with copyright issues, so please do not distribute or ask for copyrighted manuals.
Thank you."
Do you understand that a PDF copy of that owner / service manual is a copyright violation?
Do you understand that this site does not want to be involved in copyright issues?
Is there any part of that you OR ANYONE ELSE does not understand??

Got it, I was mistakenly under the impression that PDF's being sold on line were the way that things were done now as in supplied or distributed from manufacturers, whilst I now see the dilemma that this could cause the forum you might have tried a somewhat less aggressive approach, can this thread be deleted or would you prefer to leave as a warning to all ?

Sorry. It got old a long time ago.
Don't worry about the thread being read in the future. VERY FEW people go back and read old threads in this forum or others. For example, "which oil should I use" threads.
Just for clarification, the manuals 6 Riders mentioned are not for your 1984 KDX250. They are made by a company that has an online version of a manual for the 1989 - 1994 KDX200 and a manual for the 1995+ KDX200 / 220R.

Your absolute best option is to get on ebay and pick up a factory, paper manual. There are a LOT of them listed currently between $10-$40. Take your pick.
