So after putting a new clutch the first ride I kicked it and the kick start slipped and just made thateird noise after that first ride ive have had to kick it at the very bottom of the kick start position anybody got a clue what it could be, it worked perfect before the clutch swap

If you didn't read and use the service manual, I would re install the kick start assemble again. Follow the service manual instructions to the letter when lining up the spring, etc. The thing that really helped me was using thinner weight oil. No 40W for me. 10W20 or 10W30 did the trick. They say the teeth on the kick start gear cog can get rounded. They can be filed sharp again. But I'd try the lighter oil first before grinding on the gear teeth.

If it worked before the clutch swap then most likely you out something back together wrong. Do it again.

Okay so today I went and bought the best gear oil they had at auto zone well at least that's what Bob said lol its some Lucas heavy duty high performance sae 80W-90 gear oil and it still slips any other ideas Or is this oil wrong to use? He also mentioned using Lucas heavy duty oil stabilizer but I have no clue on how to use that.

Not sure about the oil but I do know that oil is even thicker than regular 10w-40. That being said, I have always used Honda HP2 gear box oil which if I remember correctly is around 80w. I don't think the problem is your oil, but then again I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn last night.

I'm old school, and have used ATF (type F) for longer then I care to mention.

Did you reassemble the kickstart? I don't think oil is the issue.

i didnt touch the kick starter set up, it was fine before the clutch plate change but what shoukd my next step be from here? should i take it apart??

Gonna need to take the side cover off and see what's going on with the kickstart mechanism. Not sure there is any other option. Others can chime in and give thoughts as to what could have happened, but in the end you'll have to see firsthand.

Return spring broke or dismounted. You're gonna have to take the side cover off.
