I ride orange, but I just picked up a 91 KDX 200E basket case for $150. Based on everything I've read / researched and looking at the pieces / parts of the bike... The only issue is the LH KIPS valve is broken. The PO pulled it apart thinking it was down on power and needed a top end. The piston and rings have 10 - 15 hours on them He didn't know about the issue with the valves and the steel replacements. The bike is a true basket case. With it in such a dismantled state, I had the opportunity to inspect the engine internals, and to know the bottom end is tight, the cylinder bore is fine, and to see LH KIPS valve is broken. I haven't done a complete inventory yet, but so far it seems as though everything is there, all the way down to the cooling system overflow bottle. All parts / bolts / nuts were meticulously bagged and tagged. This should be a fun winter project

Man, great score! Since you already know about the steel KIPS valves you should be all set.
That KTM looks nice, too. I hear the 380's are pretty ferocious machines.

Honestly they are very forgiving machines. True if you try to ride it like s 125 things will happen quicker than you may want... A little respect goes a long way.
