Wondering if anyone can help me out, i recently got myself a 250 sr model in Australia and ive had some problems starting it. It will take about 10 kicks and the last 3 or 4 will be painful kickbacks. I also have that terrible bog at the low end of the range and finally to ttop it off the powervalve drums have broken off and are not there its just a small shaft spinning at the bottom of the sub ports ( no kips valves, port fully open). Ive tried out a spare coil with no luck still have a weak spark that will arc maybe twice with a full kick of the lever. Could it be the CDI?

very well could be. make sure your stator plate hasnt been altered in either direction from stock. make sure the contact points on your ignition coil are clean and free of rust and corrosion. your spark plug boot screws onto your plug wire, take it off, clip the end of your spark plug wire exposing fresh wires on the inside, reinstall. also make sure all your electrical connection are clean. see if these help
