Hey Guys,

Just bought a 1989 KDX200 and wondering if there is an aftermarket air filter that works as a direct replacement. If there are multiple which ones are best?

My opinion, Moose Racing and Twin Air if the Moose is not available. I had seen a test someone did one time and was surprised how much better the Moose filters did over Twin Air, UNI, OEM, etc. I always try to find Moose now; however, I can't always find them for the bikes I'm looking for. Just make sure to stay away from K&N. Great for cars, bad for bikes.

And, good news.....The 89-06 KDX and a LOT of other bikes use the same filter so they should be easy to find for years to come.
I also recommend the No Toil PREMIUM filter (not the pre-oiled filter).

Interesting article about the testing of filters. I'll see if I can get a moose racing filter for my KDX.
