compression. clicker assembly blew out of rear shock!!!!

My sons hybrid kdx250 blew out the compression clicker assembly upon landing off a double today. Made a huge mess obviously lol, looking at the threads on both the reservoir and clicker assembly theyre all gone. Ill need to replace shock assembly im guessing. Not sure if PO stripped tem prior or not or what. Never seen this myself. We are running a 96 kx250 chassis.... My question is, does any of the kawi gurus know if any kxf rear shocks fit the 96 chassis theyre are plentiful on ebay resonably priced. Hard finding one for the 96. Not even real sure which year kx shocks interchange with the 96. Anycand all suggestions appreciated!

Any 20 year old shock off eBay needs a rebuild, so make one out of 2.

I have a good rear shock from a '93 KX250 that I'd part with. I'm not sure if it fits a '96 or not, though. Let me know if you're interested.

not sure either.....everything ive read is tbat 94-98 125/250 fit. Thanks tbough.

yeah Jason, thats the one im going to pick up.....gotta wait till payday though. Hopefully itll still be avail.
