First Hare Scramble

Did my first Hare Scramble this past weekend at Highland Park in Georgia. I'm definitely far from experienced and entered the Trail Rider (beginner) class. The race was 1hr 40mins + 1 lap and I completed 4 laps (including being stuck in a giant mud pit for what felt like forever...probably 20ish minutes) The goal wasn't to be super fast, but just to stay on two wheels and finish. I ended up 5th out of 7 in my class and was pretty happy with it all. Definitely a challenge, but can't wait to do the next one. Had an awesome time.
Below are some vids of my first and third laps...and some pics of being stuck in the mud courtesy of a fellow KDX rider that was also stuck and ended up going to get a strap and pulling me out
He wasn't able to get out until a bit later with the help of 3 Highland Park staff and didn't finish, but I can't thank him enough...it was getting pretty discouraging being stuck that long after just starting my second lap.

Entering my hell, no worries - made it through fine on lap 1, right?

Fellow KDXer's bike stuck worse than mine.

Yep, still stuck up there...that bulldozer did get put to use though - HP staff had that area remedied between riders DURING the race.

One of many futile attempts at removing my bike before the camera-man KDXer got a strap to help.
