Lowering links

Hello, I have a 1999 KDX 200, my bike is a little too tall for me, so I took the link off, cleaned it up and found it is a DeVol Racing link, it look like its adjustable, the holes are 4-3/8" center to center, my question is if I increase the distance between the holes, will it lower my bike?

I don't know the answer to your question, but this may help: http://www.koubalink.com/kdxinstall.html

I'm not sure your exact question so...Making the link longer will lower the back of the bike. You must also run the forks up into the trees to compensate on the front.

Stock length is 112.5 mm (which it sounds like you are at/near), lengthening the link will lower the bike, but will also change leverage ratio, softening the rear end.
