hi im a newbie to the site and was wondering if anyone can help. ive just acquired a 1991 kdx 250 which dosent seem to hit the powerband the bike runs ok just dosent seem to pull correctly any help would be great.

check my sig for jetting how to, i'd start there.

cheers for that also I would mention that the bike makes a loud ratcheting sound is that normal for the KIPS it sounds too loud?

Sometimes, a broken or non-working power valve system can affect the upper RPM power. You may want to check that.
