Own a 2006 KDX200 and a unknown year model (about 2001) KDX220.

Welcome to the site. Great thing about the 220 and the H-model 200 is doesn't matter the year...they are all the same (except for colors).

Jip, that is true.

One difference on my 220 is what seems to be a disconnected 2-stroke pump below/next to the carb.

Is this the SR model?
what pump are you talking about?

Must be the oil injection pump on an SR

Don't know what an SR model is. But yes it must be the oil injection pump.

definitely looks like you have an sr model there, if it is going to be street legal it has a multi coil lighting stator as standard, so should get some pretty good lighting.
