Just signed up. Picking up a 02 kdx200 tomorrow. Been around bikes for a while now. Ex road racer and current MSF Instructor. Had a handful of trail bikes in the past, hoping the kdx fits the bill as well as I think it will for the trails in my area.

thanks and look forward to learning a lot!

Welcome aboard! You sound like a perfect candidate for a KDX. A guy with some skill can have a great time showing up the guys on their modern bikes. You'll love it.

I'm sure you know the drill on buying a used 12 year old dirt bike. It will most likely need some maintenance but but once you get it dialed in it will be very reliable and a very capable trail bike.

We will need pics!

I'll post some pics once it is home in the garage. Pretty comfortable working on 2-strokes so I should have it ready to rip in short order. Thanks for the welcome!

Got it home today. Little dark for pics. It's an 01 not an 02.
Some goodies that it has.
Rebuilt front forks
recent chain/sprockets
bark busters
skid plate
radiator guards
Magura hydraulic clutch
ASV brake lever.
Spares including a top end kit

And... it came with a complete KX front end with brand new rebuilt factory connection forks. Says it already had the stem pressed/knurled. I may need to make sure all the parts are there to bolt it on.

Oh, and it's titled for street use.
