I am thinking of sending Carb out to RB Carb Designs. I have a 220 with a FRP ported cylinder and a boyesen rad valve, fmf woods pipe. Will I gain more bottom end as well as top end? Will I need to run race gas? I currently run 93.

You don't need race gas unless the cranking compression has been increased beyond spec by a head mod.
I know you said Carb but with the RB std. head mod , pump gas works fine.
I'm a strong advocate for non-ethanol in a 2 stroke , buy it if you can get it.

I just got my 220 head back today from RB . What a beautifull job !
Just no comparison to the local job I had done to the 200.

Turn around time was great as I mailed it out the 10th and got it back on the 18th.

Just the head mod was in the budget for now. I have a 35mm on my 220.

Ya, seems like 95% of most folks get both, just curious how you like it, looks like it's going to be awhile before you test given the severe weather you Guys are having.
