Hello!
I once again need your knowledge!

I wonder if the screw on the water pump is normal or reversed?
I mean to take off it: you have to turn anticlockwise (as a lot of screws!) , or you should turn clockwise ? (when I was young, I broken water pump on a 200mtx, the screw was reversed, so I wonder if it is the same on KDX ...)

Can be put protections fork recent bikes (KX KXF,): the price for this original spare parts is high and Acerbis, Ufo offer a better price and more easy to find .. the big question also relates to the diameter of protection guides ... If you have any information or tips, that interest me

THank you !!

I'm guessing that you are asking about the water pump impeller? Yes it is a counter-clockwise nut (righty tighty/lefty loosey) as compared to normal, clockwise, nuts/bolts (righty tighty/lefty loosey). The guards for a KX probably won't fit, your just going to have to get the ones made for your bike.

Yes i am asking about the impeller! thank you!

so to disassemble i'm going to turn like that:

I------>>>
I
I
I------<<<

OK!

for the fork guard I hoped that a solution other than original was possible, even adapting some...

seems to me just about any fork guard should work/be able to be made work

you are talking about the white plastics that sit on the very bottom right?

I would buy the cheapest full size bike ones I could find and just redrill the holes

Yes i am talking about this! thank you

If i take the first i find, what worried me is the diameter of the plastic circle (which guide the fork protection when working) ...this is not necessarily the right size..
or I do not put this circle ... why not!

I have since discovered that the fork 92 KX 250 was the same, Ufo factory for less than the original (possibly it can serve others to know too!)

the 92 KX definitely does not have the same fork. Its 43mm vs 41mm on the KDX, longer, and quite different internally (fully adjustable). The fork guard may be adapted quite easily though -- That I don't know. Also keep in mind the KX guards were not the wrap-around type.

sorry I made a mistake  you're right, I looked on the OEM catalog references are different...
and they no look the same: on kdx the brake hose goes into the protection .on the KX it goes outside ...

None of the KXs are going to have the style of brake routing that the KDX has. I wouldn't worry about that too much -- I would move the cable outside the guard. The only thing I would imagine that would be routed similarly to an inverted fork KDX is an earlier-style KLX.

oh, I did not think at all KLX! I looked at the oem catalog, the references are the same, I expanded my research and found a seller on ebay (it's chinese product but i think I'm going to try), thank you!
