I just scored a 2000 KX125 for $500. Won't run but it has carb issues. I have the 93 KDX200 which I love, but I have always wanted a 125. I want to ride it in the woods so I want to make a torqe moster

( don't laugh I know 125 are limited there)
I was thinking of doing 144 kit, RB carb mod, 2 teeth up on the rear and one down on the front and a pipe. Anyone have any idea on the best torque pipe for a KX? I just want to play with this and if I find a KDX200 motor I might do a hybrid.
Suggest any other mods you can think of.
Thanks.

I had an '01 KX 144 done by Eric Gore. The only stock part on it was the fame. It was a nasty little bike and a 250f killer for sure. As far as the pipe goes, I had a full PC on it and it was fine, but I can't comment on other pipes for it. I would check an MX lite site.
If you're planning on making it a woods bike, I would definitely suggest a 10oz. Steahly flywheel weight. If not, that thing will have you worn out by the second mile.

I had an SST pipe that I got for cheap on e-Bay on a '99 KX125. It shifted the power band to low and mid-range and choked off the top-end. It wasn't the perfect solution, but for woods riding it was an improvement. Of course, stuffing a KDX200 motor in there with its wide-ratio tranny and stronger power was far better.

So i assume the best kdx motor for a hybrid with this bike would be an H model?
