Can't speak to the 220 per say, but wossner makes great pistons! It's the Pro-X(OEM) for the 220 you want to avoid.

Hi rob, i fitted a wossoner piston to my 220 last year...quality engineered german made bit of kit which includes a teflon coating on the piston skirt for less friction along with a mirror polished crown,they are also quite light too.. when fitting make sure you get the correct size as they come in 3 different sizes ( not oversize ) for closer fit..i went for the 2nd size on mine.

I dont have experience with the KDX piston, but the Wössner-piston in my KLX works perfekt since 10.000 km.
