Just wondering if it is just me, but the site has been super slow loading for the past couple of days.

I have had the same issue. This is the only site that seems to be a problem so I am glad it isn't just me.

Well I've been in virginia with no access to the internet for the last few days, so I can't say. It certainly seems fine for me tonight. I'll keep an eye on it.

For me it takes about 15 - 20 seconds for the page to load and let you do anything. Also right before it ... unlocks?... the scroll bar gets a little shorter. Like it does when that stupid F___ing facebook thing comes on.

The f___ing facebook thing uses javascript. If that's what might be hanging up, try updating your java plugins.

Mine does the same exact thing. I just tried to update Java, and it says I have the latest version. I also get a message saying KDXrider.net is not responding due to a long running script.

I am using another computer now and it is the same. Slow. But with this one I get the script error and I didn't with my home computer. I was getting a "not responding" error. So I guess that could be the same thing.

And is this just loading the board index, or the portal page, or possibly latest posts? I need to track down which php script is causing you problems. I can not reproduce this on any of my 5 computers. Unless we have 20 or so users on, all pages load for me in 2 seconds or less.

I just load the new stuff and it works fine for me.

It seems to be any page that is slow for me. Just to post this reply I had to wait for the page to load. If it helps any the page will pop up pretty quick but I can't scroll or select anything.

I have not had any problems at all.

Same way on Google Chrome or Internet Explorer 9.

I am in the exact same boat.

Odd. I can't replicate the problem on any computer with any browser. My error logs show nothing unusual. The longest running scripts I have in the logs are less than 2 seconds, and those are usually searches.

There are a couple things I can try. It's kind of shooting in the dark since I can't find any evidence of an issue, and can't reproduce the issue. I'll try some things this evening and get you guys to test.

For the record, from where I sit, the pages on this site load faster than any other PHP based forum that I visit. One thing you guys could try, is put this site in your trusted sites list, and make sure all scripting permissions are enabled for trusted sites.

... AND stay off the warez and porn sites.

Lol, yeah, there's always that! Since my latest round of tweaks I have been really happy with the load times I'm getting from KDXRIDER. So, I'd really like to figure out what's going on here. If one of you guys could try the trusted sites thing and let me know how that works. I can turn gzip compression back on, but that's a pretty big hit in cpu cycles on the server, and the last thing I want is more cpu throttling from our host.

Stay off the porn sites? Really? Kinda makes the interwebs a bit pointless then. And besides, the porn is loading great still!

I am not sure how to do the trusted site thing. I looked around a bit and didn't see anything. Where should I look for that?

I found it. Didn't seem to help yet...

Check your IE version, also. From IE, click Help, and then About.
