No, but you do have to be a contributing member. That's how we manage to keep the site ad free. You can check the site updates section (The KIPS Rattle), for details about our membership structure.

i have briefly read the KIPS RATTLE forum, but still unable to determine how to send PM's.
i have joined recently, and would like to send a pm to a member.

next step is to become a "supporting" member by making a donation to the forum
