How do you guys feel about them? More specifically, the 2000+ WR250 / 300 2 strokes they make. Seems to be a nice bike but they have very little support from aftermarket companies . There is a dealer about 30 mins from me which is fairly close but nothing compared to having my Team Green dealer only 5 minutes away.

I've rode & wrenched on a few early 2000 (02~06) Husky 2 strokes.
Great motors, but the suspension was less than stellar for a heavier rider.
Check with your local dealer & see about the availability of OEM parts for your year/model, let alone aftermarket items..

Their newer 2T bikes have improved a lot since BMW bought the company in '07. Husky is back on track, finally, after many years of doom and gloom. The engines (2t's) make just as much power as the KTM's and are reliable from everything I've read. The only negative I've heard about is they are still a little on the heavier side but not by that much (5-10 lbs). Personally, I really like them. If I was in the market for a new bike I would be seriously looking at a Husky WR250.

I agree with ss109, the new huskys are a great bike with top notch suspension etc...the new 125 wr comes with a `free` 150cc hop up kit as standard & would make a fantstic woods weapon ,not too sure if they are street legal in the states mind but here in the UK they are...i guess the only down side is the price

Price is the upside here in the states. Husky 2 strokes are significantly less expensive than their KTM counterparts.

The WR 250/300 is a solid bike, but it hasn't had any frame/engine updates in many, many years. A lot of the parts on this motor go back to a Cagiva design BEFORE they even bought Husky--that's two owners ago! However, it makes excellent power, and is very reliable. It does require some jetting setup, however. Clutch pull is heavy, but Rekluse makes a good autoclutch for it. All the necessary aftermarket parts are available, just not through your normal channels. GEt in touch with a good dealer, do some research on Cafehusky, and you'll find all the aftermarket goodies you could want.

I just bought a 2012 WR 125 for $5499, including a free 144 top end. You just can't beat that.
