Fork Tools Required??????

Ok, when I bought my LOW mileage (825mi) 93 KDX200-E5 it came with an owners manual. I have worked on all the forks of all my other bikes but this is the first one with USD forks. I see by the manual that it takes a couple of special tools 1. Spring Holder PN# 57001-1286 and Push Rod Puller PN# 57001-1298.
My question is, Are these tools required to take apart these forks?
I know that the fluid is probably the original and I would like to change the springs also as I am a little on the heavier side.
