Airbox Mods?

G'day All!!!!
I saw some of the major MX team performance secrets in a magazine last week.
One that recurred between several teams was drilling holes in side of the airbox (and then covering with suitable mesh) to get better air flow.
I wondered if anyone has done this mod & how it went? Please post pics if you can...

nope. just either remove the air box lid or drill severall hole in it AND REJET ACCORDINGLY.

The Top of my airbox lid looks like swiss cheese on my 250! Everyone one said throw it away...but its where my electronics mount..and I didnt want to re-mount them.A little jetting adjustment...and YEP...IT works!

I drilled 1" holes in the top of the air box.

ditch the lid, or cut off all but the portion that the VR is mounted to. And, as mentioned, re-jet. Although, if you have stock jetting, removing the airlid leans it enough to be closer to correct, lol!
