Austin and I plan to leave early Friday morning. We should get there early in the afternoon. We'll confirm with the campground manager/owner (and he is a character!) who all is coming. The fellow did say to call him when you get close as one of the two ways to the campground has a low 9' RR bridge to go under. (That won't work for our travel trailer.) Austin and I plan to ride Friday as I have to be back in Richmond sometime Monday night.

AND HECK NO, IT'S NOT TOO LATE!!! I am psyched you two are coming out.
It IS a "kdxrider" event at heart since it's all started right here. As a matter of fact a section of the full service spots are reserved under "kdxrider".
I second the awsome !

The 9 hour ride will be well worth your while Vince !
Be nice to meet you and KDXB.
It will be a 10 hour ride for me but it is always worth the ride !!
If there are any problems with sites I reserved a site from Brady
for my toy hauler where a tent or two could be put up also.
I will be leaving thursday night 10pm or so and get some sleep
in the am when I get there.

I'll try to load Andy up with some firewood. What do you guys think about Inda & Kirsten's accomodations Jim, Tom, & Kirk? Do they need there own spot, or do we have enough room on our spots for a tent, or room in a camper? What about parking?
Yes, they really do let me drive the Train!

$50 bucks for a year sticker. I know we usually only make it once a year, but for four days riding, thats not bad. I pay $15 bucks a day at a local place, so really its cheaper.....and ALOT better.

$50 is for the whole year. You just need to make sure you come back!
If you break it down, Kirsten, it's about $16 a day if you ride Sat-Mon and never come back this year. We typically see fees of $15-$20 a day around here so to a lot of us it's reasonable. It wouldn't be if you only rode for a day. Or maybe it wouldn't be if you're not used to paying anything to ride.
Keep in mind that this is a well-managed trail system. All the trails are marked by difficulty and maintained.
Inda, I would call to see if you need a reservation for a "spot" or if you can just camp where we are.

So you and Austin will actually be the ones who will be "seasoned" on these particular trailscrf_kdx wrote:Austin and I plan to leave early Friday morning. We should get there early in the afternoon. I should be there mid morning
Also will everyone be in pickup's or have an easy way to haul your bike if we decide to do a day on Browning fork ?
We could catch it in Mann, ride to Gilbert for lunch then back again.
That would be about a 30-45 minute drive from the campsite.
