For the life of me I do not see the cabin that we stayed at the first year. Those were OK accomodations, kinda close to the road but a nice place.

Here's another, very good rates with good amenities and a large back deck overlooking a creek.

Well ya'll, here is when I had to schedule my vacation. It will start on 5-15-11. As long as my off days stay the same, I will be off from 5-13 to 5-21. So there it is. Thats when I can go to H&M. If a different date is needed by a lot of people, I might be able to work something out, but i would need to know asap, and there is no guarantee i can reschedule. What do you guys think?

What about your brother ? He going again ?
I haven't formally asked anyone yet until we get dates. He did have a blast though!

At this point feedback given suggests we should shoot for Rockhouse Trailhead in Gilbert, WV on May 12-15.

Wanna start making reservations?

I'll have to play it by ear since I have obligations to another trip... and don't know which weekend yet. If I find out I can join you with short notice, either you'll have room at the inn or you won't. Sure would be nice to ride with the KDX crew...

So . . . y'all want to make reservations? This place looks reasonable . . . check out the pic of the back deck and the "creek".

Are we interested in reserving? Say the word folks and I'll make the move!!

If you have druthers please don't be shy.

This is another place. Right below where we stayed in Gilbert the first year but further away from the road, close to the river. Requires $200 deposit per cabin, I'm willing to bet we'll need 2 cabins.

Who's in? I need a count . . . I know of two for sure, myself and Rick. Sounds like there's 4 coming from Waukesha County Wisconson but it doesn't look to me like they're staying in a cabin (pm sent).

it175 . . . I'll check on places to hook your RV up

I'll wait on cabin reservations until the interest is there, we might loose some good spots.

There's another group in my area looking to go in April when the kids are in school. I may be making the trip down twice. :supz: The guys I went down with last year (Craig and Carl) may hop in on the KDXRider trip. I need to make a decision!!!!

Unless there are objections (and I'm serious about that), it would be nice to call our annual WV ride the "Annual Vince Hengstberger Ride". 'Be a nice way for us to remember him every spring. I mentioned this on the facebook page too.

I can still see him standing under the canopy, trying to stay dry, two springs ago. And that awesome-looking KDX.

'Still remember that laugh, too, on the evenings next to the campfire as we goofed off and told bad jokes. It was the kind of laugh that made you feel good, like he genuinely enjoyed your presence. Unfortunately for him, it only meant we goofed off all the more.

We won't be able to see him but he'll be there, riding with us, except he'll make every gnarly section and hill with ease, probably get a giggle watching us struggle.

Best I can tell, we're sticking with the dates: May 12 - May 16

WHO IS COMING?

The only thing left to do is make reservations and it's difficult to do without a good feeling for headcount. Or, folks can make their own reservations. I might give Tom and Varmint a call this evening and see where they stand.

Here's the tally thus far (and correct me if I'm wrong):

Yes for a cabin: myself, Rick, Dustin

Probably/maybe for a cabin: Tom Moody, Varmint (+2 others), Kirk Jones, sped66

Then there's IT175 and I believe he brings 3 others but I believe he is looking for a place to park an RV. I have your phone number and I'll give you a holler and we can discuss needs/plans.

I'll give you an update on cabin availability and committments in the next day or two. It's entirely OK if folks would rather make their own reservations, just let me know and make reservations for the three of us from Cincy and I'll stop worrying!!
