I'm VERY ready to ride in WV. Five weeks, can't wait. I've spent some quality time on my suspension to get it ready for riding and racing. Fork bladders removed, shim stack converted into dual-stage, resprung, etc.

Might have a few more joining our group. I'll know more details soon I hope.

Enjoy Cazumel you lucky devil!

AWESOME!!

AND HECK NO, IT'S NOT TOO LATE!!! I am psyched you two are coming out.

It IS a "kdxrider" event at heart since it's all started right here. As a matter of fact a section of the full service spots are reserved under "kdxrider".

Right now we have three campers (total of eight people). I reserved 4 full service spots that the owner (Brady, he's quite a character) is going to hold as long as he can. That spot was still open about a week ago if you want to go with a camper.

On the other hand you can get a tent spot and I think there are plenty of them. Just tell Brady you'd like to be close to the kdxrider group.

Here's the website again . . . rates are VERY cheap:

http://www.devilansecampground.com/

Besides the spots that you rent they have showers that are token operated.

I'm thrilled you guys are coming out, we're are going to have a blast.

Just so you guys know:

I got my Tent Cot! But I also have a canopy that I like to put over it and pull my bike in with me too.... So, a tent site is perfect for Kirsten and I... Open fires and beer is acceptable I hope!

Details . . . arrive late afternoon May 1 (Friday) with plans to ride Sat, Sun, and Mon, leave Tue . . . we all plan on getting at the campground, setting up, maybe getting a little riding in if everyone's up to it. Or maybe just get acquainted, eat some dinner, have a cold one, and wake up refreshed and ready to roll!

You can ride to the trails from the campground. In fact, you can ride through town on our bikes. Want to go to Wendy's for lunch? Come out of the hills, ride to Wendy's, park right there and eat!!

Let us know when you guys plan on venturing down and with anything we might need to help you with.

Do a mapquest for Logan, WV. It is in the boonies.

Looks like about 9 hours from Decatur... not too bad for a ride of a lifetime!

Vince, as long as the weather doesn't go completely south you are going to have a ball. We even have the option of picking up one morning and within an hours drive ride another entire trail system! But it probably won't be necessary. There's some great singletrack (see the Youtube vid on page 1 of the thread).

Someone for our group needs to check in by 6pm, so we should be fine. I estimate a 4:30 or so eta.
