everyone will have a diff opinion on which is faster.....i own a banshee, and a buddy HAD a 250r"he sold it".......my banshee was faster in the straits, and pulled harder, but he was faster on track stuff. the 250r's handles better"stock" than a banshee....'banshee's are kinda a turd when it comes to "track" handling!" ....the 2 was really built for 2 diff. puposes....but i like them both, but its kinda like comparing a kdx200 to a ktm200. like i said tho, everyone will tell a diff story about which is faster....but you half to ask "where"?? do they mean "faster" on the track, sanddunes, straights, drag race in dirt, payment, or top speed faster? get my point? :hmm:

What is yours intended for?

i like the all out performance on all my bikes...........i dont care to much for "motocross" stuff anymore, so i dont really care if my bikes handle 40mph woops sections. i like the sheer power, and being able to lug my bikes down low, and just cracking the trottle with no clutch, and hanging on for dear life! i set up my bikes and most of the others i build for low end all the way to top{motors}. most of this is in the jetting, port work, and compression. to answer your question on "whats your intended for".......i quess that would be "fun factor". i like when people ride my bikes and come back and say "holy ****" ! this thing rips everywhere! and "how much will you charge to build my motor like that?"

I like them both. Just like 2-cycle sport quads. The 250 is plenty even bone stock(pretty nice trail motor actually), and only one cyl to maintain. Pretty easy to make a banshee produce ridiculous power.

But then they tend to get towed off the dunes a lot

I'd rather have a mostly stock Banshee. RB'd, stock pipes, maybe that adjustable timing thing Carvr has...

Yeah, people take it overboard!

I'd love this:

I can see it helping on any 2-cycle
Once the piston seals off the ports, on up to TDC,all the reed valves and exh. devices become irrelevant
The benefit would be in proportion to how far off the mark the
OEM head is.
A RB modded Yamaha street twin boggles the mind.
I noticed on his site that they are another one of his pets.
