It was a sloppy and slippery day, but I had a lot of fun with the bike.

Hi ted, i like to do a swingarm swap using a H series KDX 200 onto a E model 200 chassis. do you think it can be done? anyone tried that before?i really like your hybrid kxdx bike. the way you DIY to your swingarm to get it fit. how about the linkages, do you think i need to change to the H series linkages or an get by using back the E series ones.

not sure if you can advise on that. thanks, and really nice bike you got there.

Thanks for the compliments.

I'm afraid I can't help you with the KDX swingarm swap, I'm not familiar with the linkages, swingarms and frames of both bikes.

Just curious, why are you wanting to swap swingarms?

Is the motor a crazy tight fit to get in the frame I had to walk away from it tonight mines a 05 with a 99 motor might have to get a hand to help get er in there. :partyman:

I never had any trouble getting the motor in/out by myself. But there isn't enough room to pull the cylinder off with the motor in. I had to pull the motor to do the piston/cylinder change.

Hey, what clutch cable did you end up using? Did the RM work out? I neglected to check cable lengths when I was mocking everything up. I am assuming that the KDX throttle cable will be ok based on what I've read that others have done.

Ted, in addition to the cable question above, I had one more. Is this the same bike that you put the IMS tank on? If so, do you recall what you used in regards to the petcock? I dont want to use the 125 one becuase it doesnt have reserve. I sold the KDX tank and petcock, so I can't check if that would work or not. If that will work, I'll just go and order one online.

I dont remember which cable I ended up using, I will take a look and see if I can find a number on it.

I used a Yamaha WR petcock with a reserve.
