Not really what i asked mate....

I asked if it takes longer for a wiseco piston to warm up, vs the stock piston.

The stock one seemed to be warmed up within a 1 minute maybe 2, the wiseco seems to take about 4 or 5. Is that normal?

Hmmmm, I usually let mine idle a little bit, maybe a minute or two, then take it for a spin. Usually takes 75 - 100 yards to clean out and get on the pipe, then she's ready

Yes was the answer... which is the correct answer.... MATE.

A Wiseco is forged... your stock piston was cast. The cast is very close to tolerance no matter what temp it is. A Forged on the otherhand takes longer to warm up and come to tolerance.... it is a higher grade piston than the cast piston. It may not be what you asked... but you need to understand what you did to your bike.

Never knew about any "warm up procedure" before

But then again its werked so far fer me :wink:

Been running the same wiseco piston fer at least 3 years

ran the bike today up to about 4500 feet above sea level, the bike was transformed! a 142 jet and the clip 2nd from the top did it. Bike was wonderful. I also put in an eg plug.

I think i need a bit more HP so RB mods to come... :supz:

Nope IMO those are just a gimmic and nothing else.
