Unless you weren't talking about a KDX

Sorry, but the discussion was regarding oversize fuel tanks when used on KDX/KX125 hybrids. In other words, a KDX 200/220 engine in a KX125 chassis. We know that a little re-shaping of the stock KX tank is needed to make it fit with the taller KDX engine. The big question was the amount of modifications needed to fit an oversized tank to retain decent range for woods riding on the hybrid bike.
The photos posted by art5 earlier in this thread are of his KDX/KX hybrid (KX125 chassis) and I was asking if that was the Clarke tank he mentioned earlier and what the capacity was. Sorry if that wasn't clear.

It was a 3.1 gal tank with the 03 kx 125 no mods are needed, to fit the stock tank to the hybrid, as for the clark It really depends on how you mount your rear head stay, But it wasn't to terrible a job to do, molds fairly easily with a heet gun, I only use the big tank for the 2 hour races, use the stocker for everything else.
