Those bulbs are wired in parallel
With the small output on that bike my guess
is it never worked properly.
Clean the corrosion off the contacts on the upper round
bulb and take the lower out completely and see how it works.

What numbers are on the round bulb ?
1157/2057 ??
Can't see the picture well enough, is the round bulb twin filament?

Now neither bulb or the taillight come on, I'm not sure what happened, I will play with it more tomorrow

Yeah, you've got the UFO headlight, I've got the same one. I was never sure what bulb fit in it so we (myself and the shop) ordered a few different bulbs to test. I can get you a part number for that bulb (the larger one), it's a 35W/35W but I don't remember what company we used. Check the connections right behind the headlight, I had some wires that were fraying and that caused my lights to go out at un-opportune times, e.g. at night. :shock:

I know I'd certainly appreciate a part number and source for that bulb. I just bought a setup just like that (off the E-auction site) and it came without bulbs. I haven't been able to find a bulb for it anywhere.

Curious... Is the LED in the tail a single bulb that goes into the stock light housing?

You can buy the rear tail LED's at auto zone in a 2 pack for about 15.00
