Unlike your existing fork the 93+ KDX forks (and all USD's) have cartridge valving which is based around a valve and shims that interact with the oil and spring in the fork to provide the dampening action. The shims and valve can be changed to alter the damping characteristics of the fork. This is a pretty big difference from the damper rod design of your 89-92 E series forks which only allow for oil and spring changes easily.

Thanks Oldschool for sending the springs, have canceled fredette order as was gonna order these because I thought the shipping on your springs was gonna be alot more. Any way now Im getting .35kg Springs (all thanks to oldschool  ) what oil do you think I need given the places I ride.

I ride thick sandy conditions with alot of whoops that are of decent size and I weigh 65kg without gear, I really want to stop my bike going into rodeo status, (I have to ride the rear shock alot).

Thanks
