I've bent one miles out on the trail. Had to remove the rotor after heating the red loctited nuts with a lighter - wasn't fun. I have a Devol guard now that's beat up after 50 hours. I think I just sold myself on ordering one of these. 👍

I’ve never bent a rotor on any of my bikes but the extra protection can’t hurt. Plus it looks great.

Out here in Colorado some of the single tracks have a lot of rocks to ride through, so chances are pretty good that you might bend a rotor. My Scott's fin on my 220 has quite a few dings, but is still perfectly fine. That's why I ordered one for my 200 as well. I don't see woods riding being as bad, but I'm sure there are places that get pretty rocky too.

When I bought my 220 it came with one, and like others have said, the quality is really nice on these, so I thought I'd better get one before they don't make them anymore. Ended up talking with Steve (funny, energetic guy) for quite a while, and we chatted about the KDXs they used to ride/tinker with in their shop. They are in the process of doing a new batch since all of the current fins are spoken for, so it looks like it will be a few weeks before mine is shipped out, which doesn't bother me since I'm in no rush.

If the demand keeps up, they might continue to make them. I think it's pretty cool that they still have a love for KDXs and are willing to make these parts for our bikes. :supz:
Thanks for the info, better get my order in then!
