06-07 RM guards you need to space the front out a little bit it to clear the fork. I did this with nylon spacers available at any good hardware store.

More forks that are an upgrade and slide in - drz250 cartridge forks are 43mm. 98-99 DR350SE and about 96-99 DR350 cartridge forks are 43mm and will slide in. Xr400 all years 43mm cartridge forks, slide into stock triples.
They're all very similar Showa conventionals. Axle mounts different on xr400, but the same on DR/DRZ. I'll be putting XR forks on my E series soon, as I found a set for a good price locally.
