If IT175 comes out . . . and two other guys from Northern Virginia, that'll be 13 riders. And I haven't included some more possible locals.

That's a big group and one hell of a big campfire!!

We are coming from Illinois. Got these directions from Brady Hiz-self.

64 or 77 into Charleston
119 South to Logan (Wal-mart on the left if you need anything Brady ain't got)
Take the Logan exit (east on 73)
Merge with 10 south
Pass Logan
When the four-lane turns to two-lane, go to the first stop light and go left under the railroad overpass
17 North
(2.9 miles on the right ... go to the gas pumps)

Call Brady (considering you were smart enough to make reservations and, if not, we supposedly have enough room on our spot) if you are going to arrive after 5:00 p.m. at 304-752-1841

See ya there!

I just hope that a couple of you are patient enough to let me "adjust" and "attempt" to ride. I do like to watch what an experienced rider does and then try it. I usually do pretty darn good, but speed is not my forte.

I am not afraid to try anything. I just need the initial guidance of the terrain first. I have never crossed a creek. Could this be a first?

The blue and black are the only trails to ride, the greens just get you there.
I try to do 70-100 miles a day that is on the KDX, the KX may get parked after the first run of the day for me.
Nothing is better than a hard day on the trails, well except

Last year we had a great time and everyone kept together at a even pace.
Everyone was considerate of each other and you would have thought we had rode together for a long time.
I'm sure we rode a little slower than Austin would have liked but he went ahead a few times had his fun then waited for the rest of us to catch up at the end of that trail.
One area of single track we rode was very steep to get up into with a tree down at about 4' over head and as the first rider passed through he helped the next rider clear and so on and so forth.

Kirsten - don't worry too much about your skill level. Like Tom mentioned, the entire group got along just fine. We're going to have a wide range of skills but with the number of people going no one should feel left out.

I'm predicting that everybody will ride together most of the time.

Sometimes the faster ones will slow down, ride some easier trails, and wait for the newer riders. And sometimes the newer riders are going to get a chance to stretch their skills and try something a little more difficult than they are used to. Give it a shot or two, if it don't work we'll pick another route, or maybe meet everyone will meet on the other side of that nasty hill. With our handy-dandy maps we can pick out rendezvous points.

It will work out just fine!! Just take good care of that neck, no need to push it too much.

Jim and I went to a locals house today and rode. Thank goodness the $1K or so that i've put in the CR Has made a HUGE difference. I can finally ride this thing in the woods, well, kinda. Not a tractor like the KDX, but 100% better than a week ago. So far the upgrades include....

FMF Gnarly & Turbine CoreII
Maxxis Tires front & rear
B. Power Reeds
New PWK Airstriker Carby
Rear brake rebuild
Clarke 3.2 Gal Tank on its way
51 T sprocket, chain, shock seal kit, and backup cables arrived today.
I'm sure I left some stuff out, but geesh......It sure does add up quick. Cant wait for H&M!
Yes, they really do let me drive the Train!
